She has performed in several of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and NJPAC, and has also performed across South America, Europe, and Asia. To highlight a few of her accomplishments, Lucy regularly plays and records with the Grammy Award-winning 8-Bit Big Band, was part of the Drama Desk Award-winning production of Amid Falling Walls, and recorded for the Amazon Prime Video series Expats, starring Nicole Kidman. In addition to performing, Lucy holds a studio of private students.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee to Ukrainian-Jewish immigrants, Lucy began studying the violin at the age of 3. She was raised by musicians—her mother being a classical pianist and her father a jazz multi-instrumentalist. During her time in Memphis, she had the opportunity to study with a variety of pedagogues, including Kimberly Meier-Sims, Margaret Gutierrez, Joy Brown Wiener, and Soh-Hyun Park Altino. In 2011, Lucy moved to New York City to study with Michael Gilbert and Jeanne Mallow. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Mannes School of Music, where she studied with Aaron Rosand and Daniel Phillips. She currently plays on a Fabienne Gauchet violin made in Montreal, Quebec, in 2020.
